La furia de los elementos, el hambre, el frío y los motines marcaron la epopeya. El propio Magallanes moriría a manos de los nativos en una escena que recuerda al final del coronel Custer. Esta cuidada edición se completa con las ilustraciones de Pascual Adolfo López Salueña, tan elegantes como evocadoras.
